Summer Drawing Class: Marilyn's Upside Down Drawing
Marilyn created this drawing on our second day of class. The assignment was to copy a Picasso that was displayed upside down. By flipping the original drawing upside down, the Right side takes over and the features of the body become shape, line, form, etc. which is the aesthetic language.

Summer Drawing Class: Gabby's study of light and shadow
Our last class focused on drawing light & shadows by drawing an in-class still life. Gabby really gained a sense of form through her observations of light & shadows.

Top Left: First day of class: Drawing of the hand.
Bottom Left: Drawing of the hand revisited during the 3rd class. 4 hours of instruction.
Summer Drawing Class: Jessica's Portrait
Top Left: First drawing of personal portrait after First day of class.
Bottom Left: Personal Portrait drawing after 10 hours of class time. (5th day of class)
Jessica has sensitive line work which adds so much detail to her drawings. She gained the courage to draw toward the end of our classes after being taught a few skills. Her biggest comment was that "She Can See Now!"

Drawing of Bashar Assad
This is a sketch for an illustration of Bashar Assad. I was asked by illustrator Bud Cook to work on this portrait together with his version.
